OMA and MOVE announce new board appointments

It comes as the category doubles down on growth, measurement and collaboration.

The Outdoor Media Association (OMA) and MOVE have announced new board appointments: Adam Whitford to the OMA Board and Kirrily Hirst to the MOVE Board.

Whitford is director of Civic Outdoor and Alliance Outdoor, while Hirst is director of sales at GoTransit Media Group.

The organisations said the appointments come as the Out of Home sector continues to work around collaboration and audience measurement.

Industry leaders join governance roles

OMA and MOVE independent chair Charles Parry-Okeden said the pair would bring significant experience to the organisations.

“Adam and Kirrily are both highly respected leaders who bring valuable experience, sound judgement and a strong understanding of the opportunities ahead for our industry,” he said.

“I look forward to working with them as OMA and MOVE continue to support the growth of outdoor advertising.”

Experience across Out of Home sector

Whitford brings more than 25 years’ experience across the Out of Home industry in Australia and internationally, including media ownership, regulatory compliance, planning and development, and asset management.

The OMA said his appointment adds commercial, legal and strategic experience to the board.

Hirst has more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian Out of Home sector and has worked on expanding GoTransit Media Group into a national network operating across more than 115 markets.

She currently leads the company’s national sales and marketing strategy and contributes to the OMA Marketing Committee.

The organisations said the appointments reflect their focus on governance, industry collaboration and long-term value for members, agencies and advertisers.
