Australia’s Out of Home advertising industry has reported $744.1 million in net media revenue for the first half of 2026. That was up 6.51 per cent from the adjusted $698.6 million recorded in the same period in 2025.

Digital Out of Home accounted for 77.1 per cent of total revenue, up from 76 per cent a year earlier. The result came as the Outdoor Media Association announced StreetIQ had joined as a supply member.

Where the revenue landed

Roadside Billboards remained the largest revenue category at $298.1 million. The full half-year comparison was:

  • Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres): $298.1 million in 2026, versus $293.7 million in 2025.
  • Roadside Other, including street furniture, bus and tram externals and small format: $168.7 million, versus $152.1 million.
  • Retail, Lifestyle and Other: $159.3 million, versus $148.3 million.
  • Transport, including airports: $118.1 million, versus $104.4 million.

The OMA said previously released revenue figures were adjusted to reflect changes in its membership up to July 2026. It also noted that category figures may not add to the total because of rounding.

StreetIQ joins the OMA

StreetIQ specialises in Digital Out of Home and provides a cloud-based platform. It allows media owners, agencies and advertisers to manage, schedule and deliver campaigns across screen networks in real time.

Elizabeth McIntyre, CEO of the Outdoor Media Association, said StreetIQ would add to the organisation’s industry capability. “Their membership further strengthens the depth of knowledge, diversity, innovation and capability across the OMA.”

Jason Cooper, CEO of StreetIQ, said the business wanted to help the sector get more from Digital Out of Home through technology, measurement and creative execution. “We look forward to collaborating with OMA members, sharing our expertise and contributing to the continued growth and innovation of the channel.”
