oOh!media has launched Wollongong’s first large-format digital Out of Home billboard, expanding its regional footprint and offering advertisers new access to one of New South Wales’ fastest-growing markets.
The site, located on Crown Street, sits on a key inbound arterial into the CBD, connecting directly to the city’s retail and entertainment precinct and capturing high volumes of inbound traffic.
Wollongong, the second most populous city in regional NSW and the fifth-largest regional city nationally, is home to more than 315,000 residents.
Around 30% of workers in the Wollongong LGA are based in the CBD, with strong commuter links to Sydney contributing to daily movement and audience scale.
oOh!media said its combined classic and digital billboard network in the region delivers 72% reach of the local population, positioning the new site as a high-impact addition for advertisers targeting the area.
Expanding multi-format offering
The digital billboard adds to oOh!media’s existing portfolio across the Wollongong LGA, including retail and study environments, enabling broader multi-format campaigns across the region.
Mark Fairhurst, chief revenue officer at oOh!media, said the new site is designed to give brands stronger access to one of the largest regional audiences in NSW and is positioned at a high-traffic entry point into Wollongong’s CBD.
“Wollongong’s first large-format digital billboard gives brands an unmissable new way to connect with one of NSW’s largest audiences outside Sydney and Newcastle,” he said, adding that the location’s daily movement and growth profile places brands “right at the centre of that audience.”
Fairhurst said the launch also strengthens the consistency and scale of oOh!media’s broader regional network, which spans all of Australia’s top 15 regional cities and reaches 80% of Australians living outside metro areas.
He added that integrating MOVE measurement across the company’s portfolio enables a clearer demonstration of audience impact, providing agencies and advertisers with greater confidence when planning and buying Out of Home.
