Paramount has announced it has the exclusive Australian rights for the highly anticipated documentary The Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist. The doco takes a deep dive into the high-profile 2016 robbery of Kim Kardashian at gunpoint in her hotel in Paris.
With exclusive access to friends of the Kardashian family, French law enforcement, and journalists who covered the case, the documentary explores what happened that night and the courtroom trial that followed.
Eight people were found guilty of the violent armed robbery, with a French court making a ruling in May. None of the robbers will face jail time, with the ages of the defendants factoring into the decision. The oldest was 79, others in their 60s and 70s.
The Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist was produced by Firecracker Films for BBC Three and BBC Current Affairs with worldwide distribution through Passion Distribution and pre-sale to Paramount Australia.
It is expected to air on BBC One and BBC Three next week, with the documentary fast-tracked in Australia straight after.
The Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist is streaming on 10Play from Thursday 26 June. It will then be broadcast on 3 July on 10. The documentary will also be available to stream on-demand on Paramount+ from 4 July.
