Decision intelligence platform Prophet has appointed experienced talent acquisition leader Bec Geyer as its new Head of Talent and People.
This marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s people systems during a period of accelerated growth.
In the newly created position, Geyer will lead Prophet’s talent and people operations while overseeing recruitment for several open roles across the business. She will report directly to CEO Jordan Taylor Bartels.
The company is expanding rapidly across decision science, machine learning, engineering and development, creating increased demand for a dedicated leader to build talent foundations that support sustainable scale.
A globally seasoned leader
Geyer brings more than 15 years of experience across APAC, the UK and the US, specialising in talent acquisition for start-ups, scale-ups and technology companies.
As Founder and Principal Talent Lead of Roundabout Group, she supported companies including Carsales, realestate.com.au, AKQA, Clemenger, Medtasker, Performio and 2XU, helping them establish digital and technology hiring systems to support rapid growth.
She has also held senior talent roles at Rome2Rio, Stax and AI customer experience platform Cyara.
Jordan Taylor Bartels said Geyer’s leadership will be central to Prophet’s next phase.
“Prophet is at a stage where the quality of our people and the clarity of our systems will define our trajectory. Bec brings sharp judgement, humanity and a real ability to introduce structure without losing speed.
“Her role will be critical as we continue to scale with discipline and ensure every person who joins Prophet can do the best work of their career.”
A grounded approach
Geyer said she was drawn to Prophet’s combination of ambition, innovation and people-first culture.
“I joined Prophet because it’s rare to find a company that’s innovating at such a high level, while staying so grounded in its people.
“This role at Prophet offers an incredible opportunity to build something special. I’m excited to shape a hiring experience that feels engaging, transparent, and human in a place where authenticity really matters.”
Geyer’s appointment follows the recent announcement of Google Cloud executive Phil Davis joining Prophet’s Advisory Board alongside Columbia University Professor Andrew Gelman.
