Contentful has established a formal Australian presence, launching a local subsidiary and expanding operations across Australia and New Zealand as demand for enterprise digital experience platforms grows.
The move includes the appointment of Sam Hoare, area vice president for ANZ at Contentful, who will lead regional strategy, customer engagement and growth.
Hoare joins the company after more than a decade in enterprise software, including senior roles at Salesforce and Intercom.
Contentful said the expansion reflects a longer-term commitment to the region and is intended to strengthen support for organisations building digital experiences across multiple customer channels.
The company says it already works with more than 100 customers across Australia and New Zealand in sectors including retail, travel, insurance and healthcare.
Hoare said the shift comes as more organisations look for greater flexibility in how digital experiences are built and managed.
“This milestone reflects our strong commitment to the Australian and New Zealand market.

Enterprise customers back local expansion
Among local customers, Chemist Warehouse said the new presence would improve collaboration as digital channels continue to evolve.
Paul Värk, senior manager, CX and design at Chemist Warehouse, said local support would help strengthen delivery across retail channels.

MYOB also pointed to the operational value of local support.

Hiring continues across ANZ
Contentful said its Australian office will support a growing local team, with recruitment continuing across sales, customer success and technical roles as enterprise demand increases.
The company said the expansion also supports its broader strategy of helping businesses move away from legacy systems and towards more flexible digital infrastructure designed for AI-led customer experiences.
