Specsavers will be the presenting partner of Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight for the first time, starting in 2026.

Both organisations work in eye care, and Specsavers will help Vision Australia raise funds for children who are blind or have low vision.

The campaign will run across TV, radio, paid and organic social, and out-of-home. It includes a new Christmas-themed TVC created with Nine. It builds on the creative Vision Australia used last year, which was a finalist in three categories at the AMI Awards. Media is led by EssenceMediacom and creative is by Ogilvy.

Specsavers Head of Marketing, Awareness and Consideration, Anri McHugh, said the brand is pleased to be part of the Christmas tradition and to raise funds for a cause it cares about.

“We’re incredibly proud to be the Presenting Partner of Vision Australia’s 2026 Carols by Candlelight.

"This partnership brings our purpose of changing lives through better sight and hearing to life, while building on our longstanding relationship with Vision Australia.

McHugh added: “Together, we hope to raise awareness and vital funds for the important services Vision Australia provides to children and families, while bringing a little Specsavers green and some unmistakable Should’ve gone to Specsavers humour to one of Australia’s most-loved Christmas traditions.”

Vision Australia CEO David Williamson said the partnership marks a new era for the fundraiser.

“With the support of partners like Specsavers, we can raise vital funds for specialist early intervention services for children who are blind or have low vision."

Williamson said: “These services are not fully covered by government funding, leaving Vision Australia with a significant annual funding gap. Community support through events like Carols by Candlelight is critical to ensuring children can access the specialist supports they need to thrive.”
