Oh! for OzHarvest wins at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards
"The design reframes surplus food as something desirable and inviting, demonstrating how design can shift perceptions and influence consumer behaviour."

Independent creative agency, Weave, has been announced as a winner for its Oh! for OzHarvest design campaign at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards, Australia’s longest-running international design awards, for excellence in design, innovation and impact.
Oh! for OzHarvest for OzHarvest Ventures received the prestigious award in the Communication Design Print and Packaging category.
Weave ECD Dan Cookson said: “We wanted people to look at surplus food differently. Not as something worthy or second-best, but as something you’d genuinely want to pick up off the shelf. That’s really where Oh! came from.
It gave us a way to bring a bit of wit, personality and boldness to the brand, while still feeling unmistakably connected to OzHarvest and everything they stand for.
“We loved working on this one, so it’s awesome to see it recognised by the Australian Good Design Awards.”

“Design that Leads”
This year’s Awards were presented under the theme Design that Leads - celebrating design’s critical role in navigating complexity, driving innovation and creating positive change.
The 2026 Australian Good Design Awards Jury said: “The Jury recognises Oh! for OzHarvest as a well-executed brand architecture that extends the OzHarvest identity with honest wit and purpose.

"The design successfully reframes surplus food as something desirable and inviting, demonstrating how communication design can shift perceptions and influence consumer behaviour.
“The Jury was impressed by the brand name functioning simultaneously as an emotional reaction, a mnemonic for OzHarvest, and a punctuation device, while the expressive exclamation mark anchors the identity effectively.
"The considered communication on pack and bold visual approach create strong shelf presence across multiple product categories”.
Good Design Australia Managing Director
Good Design Australia Managing Director Rachel Wye said the range of projects recognised in 2026 reflected the role design now plays across the economy and community.
“Design is an important economic and social capability. It influences the products we create, the services we rely on, the policies we develop and the way organisations respond to complex problems,” Ms Wye said.
“This year’s Award winners are addressing energy costs, healthcare, environmental degradation, artificial intelligence, disaster preparedness, accessibility and community wellbeing.
“Australia has an extraordinary design community and an opportunity to use that capability to strengthen our economy, improve lives and build industries that can compete internationally.”
