The LEGO Group has signed a partnership with Daft Punk covering products, content and events, with a set based on the duo’s 2007 Alive tour approved for development.
The set will recreate Daft Punk’s pyramid stage, following a father-and-son submission to the LEGO Ideas platform.
The partnership was announced on 22 October with a film featuring LEGO versions of the duo, soundtracked by “Voyager” and “Human After All”. More announcements are due in 2027.
A lockdown project gets the green light
The Daft Punk Concert design won the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears challenge in 2020 before attracting 10,000 supporters on the platform.
Created by Luxembourg-based Patrick Harboun and his son, it will now be developed into an official LEGO set.
Harboun said: “This all started as a creative escape during lockdown between my son and I because of our shared love of Daft Punk and LEGO building. We never dared imagine it would take off in this way. Watching our passion project become part of an official collaboration is an incredible experience, and it's a reminder of what makes the LEGO Ideas community so special. That a simple idea, shared by fans, really can become something much bigger.”
Daft Punk creative director Cédric Hervet said: “The pyramid stage is one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be centre stage of this partnership. Fans have always played an important part in Daft Punk’s story, and we are excited to see that creativity reflected through the LEGO universe.”

Beyond the LEGO set
The deal also includes content and events, although details of those plans have yet to be announced.
Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer at the LEGO Group, said: “What makes this partnership so special is the enduring appeal both brands share. Like the LEGO brand, Daft Punk inspires generations through creativity, innovation and a deep connection with fans. We’re excited to build on these foundations to reimagine the Daft Punk legacy in a fresh and unexpected way, creating something unique that resonates with fans across all ages. This is just the beginning of a bigger journey – a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play.“
The launch film follows Daft Punk minifigures through a landscape that assembles around them before they take their places at a LEGO-built console. Its soundtrack draws on “Voyager”, from the duo’s 2001 album Discovery, and “Human After All”, from the 2005 album of the same name.
Fans received an early hint on 21 October, when a 30-second teaser featuring a red LEGO brick appeared on ‘Daft Punk - WDPK 83.7’.
LEGO has not announced a price or release date for the set.
