IAB Australia has announced it will host a practical Advertising Regulation and Compliance 101 webinar, aimed at helping members navigate the regulatory and self-regulatory frameworks shaping advertising compliance in Australia in 2026.
The one-hour session will take place on Monday, 10 February 2026, and will be available free of charge to IAB Australia members.
Practical guidance on regulation and self-regulation
The webinar will be led by Sarah Kruger, director of policy and regulatory affairs at IAB Australia, and is designed to provide a clear, practical overview of how advertising responsibilities are shared across advertisers, agencies, publishers, platforms and technology providers.
Advertising Regulation and Compliance 101 will cover Australian Consumer Law, explain how industry self-regulatory codes are administered by Ad Standards, and outline how those codes operate alongside existing legislation.
Emerging areas of regulatory focus
The session will also flag emerging areas of regulatory focus and explore industry-specific legislation, including rules governing electoral communications, gambling, and therapeutic goods and medicines, with particular attention to social media advertising.
The webinar forms part of IAB Australia’s ongoing commitment to supporting members with clear, accessible guidance as regulatory expectations continue to evolve.
Members interested in attending can register for the session via IAB Australia here.
