Former Spice Girl Melanie C brings global pop credentials to the upcoming season of The Voice Australia, airing soon on Seven and 7plus.

Melanie C has been announced as the latest Coach to join The Voice Australia, set to return soon to Seven and 7plus. Known globally as “Sporty Spice” of the Spice Girls, Melanie C’s appointment adds international star power to the popular reality singing competition.

With over 2.5 billion streams and accolades including Billboard and World Music Awards, Melanie C will take her place in the red chair alongside returning Coaches Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke, as well as GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx.

Melanie C’s global profile stems from her career with the Spice Girls, the best-selling girl group in history, and her subsequent solo success. Her new role on The Voice Australia marks her first major coaching role in the Australian television market.

Speaking about the new season, fellow Coach Ronan Keating remarked about Melanie’s credentials: “There’s only five of them in the world… and we’ve got one,”.

Returning host Sonia Kruger will lead the series, which promises high-stakes competition and standout performances. The new season will also coincide with the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards on 3 August, for which both The Voice and Kate Miller-Heidke are nominees.

The Voice Australia will premiere soon on Seven and 7plus.
