Are Media has appointed Sophie Coghill as digital editor of WHO.

She will lead the growth of WHO’s digital presence as the brand accelerates its omnichannel expansion, reporting to editor Lyndsey Rodrigues.

“Sophie is an exceptional digital editor, with sharp editorial instinct and a deep understanding of what entertainment audiences want right now. Her ideas, energy and calmness make her a perfect fit for WHO as we continue to deepen the brand across platforms,” said Rodrigues.

“With a number of exciting plans underway for the year ahead, from new content initiatives to brand extensions, Sophie’s fresh perspective, strong understanding of audience and wicked sense of humour make me incredibly excited about what she’ll bring to the next chapter of WHO.”

Coghill joins from Yahoo, where she produced a globally viral interview with Martha Stewart.

She said she was “thrilled” to be joining the brand at a “pivotal moment in its evolution.”

WHO is such a loved and trusted brand, and I’m excited to help shape how it continues to show up for digital audiences,” she said.
