Seven Network and 7plus will again carry the Academy Awards live and free in Australia, with this year’s ceremony also drawing local attention through a strong Australian presence across key categories.
When and Where
Coverage begins from 5.30 am AEDT on Monday, 16 March, with Sunrise leading into the red carpet and ceremony broadcast from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Mylee Hogan
Mylee Hogan, reporter for Seven Network, will report live from the venue, with the red carpet special beginning at 9.30am AEDT before the ceremony starts at 10am.
Australian names feature strongly
Rose Byrne
Australian nominees are expected to draw strong local attention this year, led by Rose Byrne, who has received her first nomination in Actress in a Leading Role for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
Jacob Elordi has also secured his first nomination, recognised in Actor in a Supporting Role for Frankenstein.
They are joined by Nick Cave, nominated for Best Original Song for Train Dreams.
Australian production designer Fiona Crombie has also been nominated for Production Design for Hamnet.
Conan O’Brien to host
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Conan O’Brien, with a presenter lineup including Adrien Brody, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Paul Mescal and Demi Moore among others.
Seven said the ceremony will also screen again at 9pm AEDT for viewers wanting an evening replay.
Seven Network remains the Australian home of the Oscars after securing rights to the 2026, 2027 and 2028 ceremonies.
