QMS NZ launches City Rail Link network with six foundation partners
2degrees, BNZ, Spark, The Warehouse Group, ANZ and Tower anchor QMS NZ’s new digital OOH network.

QMS NZ has switched on its digital out-of-home network across Auckland’s newly opened City Rail Link, with 2degrees, BNZ, Spark, The Warehouse Group, ANZ and Tower signed as foundation partners.
The launch coincides with the first weekday timetable for the City Rail Link on Monday, 14 September, after passenger services began on Sunday. QMS said its foundation partner roster for the new network is fully subscribed.
CRL adds new digital inventory
The QMS rollout covers Te Waihorotiu, Karanga-a-Hape and Maungawhau stations, extending the company’s existing Auckland Transport street furniture, transit and billboard network.
QMS said the station environments use 100 per cent digital assets with full-motion and 3DOOH capabilities.
The wider NZ$5.493 billion City Rail Link project includes 3.45 kilometres of twin tunnels through central Auckland. It connects Waitematā Station with the redeveloped Maungawhau Station via the two new underground stations at Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape.

QMS NZ managing director Ben Gibb said advertiser demand around the opening had been strong.
“Demand to be part of this launch has been unprecedented, and we are thrilled to offer our foundation partners an exclusive, digital first environment inside Aotearoa’s most modern transport infrastructure.”
Gibb said the new inventory was intended to work alongside QMS’ broader Auckland network, allowing campaigns to follow commuters across street furniture, transit, large-format and rail environments.
Builds on Auckland Transport partnership
The CRL rollout is the latest expansion of QMS’ Auckland footprint after its long-term Auckland Transport agreement covering street furniture, transit media, transport hubs and billboards.
That deal began in 2025 and helped establish QMS as New Zealand’s largest OOH operator. The company said its wider network now includes more than 2,000 Auckland street furniture panels, 4,000 mass-transit formats and more than 280 billboards nationally.

Auckland Transport head of Out of Home Media and Partnerships Simon Soulsby said: “The CRL will transform how people move through Tāmaki Makaurau, and through our ongoing partnership with QMS, we are excited to deliver a modern transit environment that enhances the passenger experience through high quality media placements.”
