Mamamia welcomes Michila Macleod as the new Head of Agency Sales – Victoria, strengthening the publisher’s growing national sales leadership team.
The appointment forms part of a wider expansion of Mamamia’s senior commercial structure, which last month was joined by Lanai Wiadrowski as NSW Sales Director and Jess Steliou as Head of Sales – WA.
Together, the trio brings extensive media experience and a shared focus on purpose-driven leadership, collaboration, and building meaningful partnerships that deliver value for brands and Australian women alike.
A seasoned leader
Macleod is one of Victoria’s most experienced agency sales veterans, with over two decades of knowledge across media, publishing, audio, digital and branded content. Her career spans Broadsheet, News Corp, Bauer, ACP, Authentic Entertainment and BBC Studios.
She has also demonstrated a strong commitment to purpose led work, previously serving as GM Partnerships at FightMND, where she helped advance awareness and fundraising for motor neurone disease.
Moreover, she mentors underrepresented advertising professionals through Assisterhood, a community initiative supporting diversity and inclusion in media and communications.
Georgie Nichols, Chief Revenue Officer at Mamamia, said Macleod’s experience and values made her an ideal fit for the business as it continues to expand its reach and impact.
“What excites me most is the combination of her commercial expertise with her clear commitment to purpose, people-first leadership, and meaningful partnerships,” Nichols said.
“Together with Lanai and Jess, Michila will play a key role in shaping Mamamia’s next phase of growth, supporting our teams and partners, and delivering real impact for Australian women and the brands we work with,” She added.
A brand new chapter
In her new role, Macleod will lead Mamamia’s Victorian agency sales operations, building deeper connections with partners and delivering innovative, purpose led campaigns.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Mamamia, a brand that leads with purpose and has such an authentic connection to women across the country,” Macleod said.
“Mamamia’s culture, community and connection are truly unique, and I’m excited to build on that foundation – deepening partnerships, supporting and collaborating with people, and creating campaigns that make a real difference. I look forward to working with the talented Mamamia team and our partners to deliver work that informs, inspires and empowers.”
