Mamamia Out Loud holds off Hamish & Andy in August podcast ranker

Mamamia Out Loud has retained the top spot in the August Australian Podcast Ranker, finishing just 5,967 monthly listeners ahead of Hamish & Andy.

Mamamia’s flagship podcast recorded 855,821 monthly listeners and 2.2 million downloads during August. LiSTNR’s Hamish & Andy followed with 849,854 listeners and 1.59 million downloads, while ABC News Top Stories held third with 626,291 listeners.

August’s top 10 podcasts

Life Uncut climbed two places to fourth with 480,519 monthly listeners, putting it just ahead of the ABC’s Conversations on 476,145.

News24 Update slipped two places to sixth, while SEN Breakfast rose one position to seventh. Dan Does Footy ranked eighth, The Front jumped three places to ninth and Happy Hour with Lucy & Nikki completed the top 10.

Pretty Sure makes a 201-place leap

One of the month’s biggest movements came further down the chart, with NOVA Entertainment’s Pretty Sure soaring 201 places to number 24. The podcast recorded 233,765 monthly listeners from five new episodes.

LiSTNR’s The Rush Hour with JB & Billy also climbed sharply, rising 38 places to number 29 with 193,239 listeners, while LiSTNR-represented The Grade Cricketer jumped 25 places to number 38.

Other major movers included Mamamia’s Everyone Has An Ex, up 83 places to number 61, and Fifi, Fev & Nick, which climbed 145 positions to number 77.

LiSTNR puts four Australian-made shows in the top 10

Southern Cross Media Group’s Managing Director, Audio, John Kelly highlighted LiSTNR’s representation among the leading locally made shows.
