London Agency strengthens leadership with new commercial director and hires

It comes as the specialist healthcare agency looks to accelerate growth.

London Agency has kicked off the year with a senior leadership reshuffle and two new appointments, as the specialist healthcare agency looks to build on a strong 2025 and accelerate growth across Australia, New Zealand and the broader APAC region.

The agency has promoted long-time public affairs lead Mathew Langdon to the newly created role of Commercial Director, while continuing to invest in its PR team with fresh hires to support an expanding healthcare and public affairs portfolio.

A new commercial focus at the top

Langdon, previously London Agency’s Public Affairs Director, will now oversee commercial strategy, growth planning and senior client partnerships.

A former media adviser and journalist to a Federal Health Minister, he has been central to building the agency’s public affairs capability and navigating complex health and policy environments.

He joins Client Services Director Annette Stenhouse, who brings more than 11 years’ experience at the agency, leading client service delivery, people and culture, and operational excellence.

Both sit alongside founder and Managing Director John Emmerson, forming an executive team designed to support London Agency’s next phase of growth.

“I’ve been proud to grow with London Agency over the past decade, and the Client Services Director role feels like a natural continuation of my growth within PR and leadership,” Stenhouse said.

“I’m committed to ensuring our clients continue to receive the high-quality, meaningful work they expect from us. I’m looking forward to helping lead the team in 2026 to continue building on the momentum of last year.”

Langdon said the new role formalises a focus on scaling the business while protecting the agency’s delivery standards.

“I’m excited to step into this role and help the agency build on the strong foundations we already have,” he said.

“My focus is on supporting the team to work even more efficiently and effectively as we grow, and making sure we’re set up to deliver even more great work. It’s a privilege to work alongside John, Annette and the wider team as we conquer this next year.”

Backed by a strong 2025

The leadership changes follow a milestone year for London Agency, which celebrated its 15th anniversary and announced a strategic partnership with former Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt as Strategic Counsel.

Reflecting on the year, Emmerson said the strengthened team positions the agency well for what’s ahead.

“2025 was an exciting year for London Agency,” he said.

“With a high-performing leadership team and the addition of talented new colleagues, we can continue delivering impactful, insight-driven results for our clients across the region. We look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2026.”

Expanding the bench

Alongside the leadership updates, London Agency has added Carla Wijaya as Account Manager and Willow Spring as PR Account Coordinator.

Wijaya brings five years of PR and digital communications experience, with previous roles at The PR Group and Icon Agency, delivering campaigns across social, digital, traditional and influencer channels.

Spring joins following an internship with the agency and is currently studying a Bachelor of Professional Communications at RMIT University, with a focus on public relations and digital communications.

With a reinforced leadership team and growing talent base, London Agency is positioning itself for continued expansion across healthcare, medical technology and public health communications.
