Independent communications agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) has announced Edwina Brook as its new Managing Director.
Brook, who has been with the agency since its early days, will work alongside Founder and CEO EJ Granleese to steer HWBK through a rapidly changing communications landscape.
The appointment marks a key milestone as the agency celebrates its tenth year in market.
Building a brand for the next decade
Having helped shape HWBK’s culture, creative direction, and client partnerships from day one, Brook’s appointment signals both continuity and change.
“Working alongside Founder & CEO, EJ Granleese, from the agency’s infancy to today, Eddie has played a fundamental role in shaping the work, team and reputation of HWBK,” the agency said in a statement.
“In her new position, she will steward and build the brand through a key inflection point in history, as the global communications landscape dramatically shifts and the agency moves into its second decade in market.”
A future shaped by evolution
HWBK has carved out a distinct position in Australia’s communications industry, blending strategic brand storytelling with cultural insight.
As audiences fragment and technology reshapes the way stories are told, the agency’s next chapter will focus on agility, innovation, and sustained brand relevance.
The agency has yet to announce new hires or structural changes under Brook’s leadership.
As HWBK prepares for its next decade, the agency’s leadership transition points to a steady hand guiding change.
