Uber Eats has launched Dine Out with Uber Eats, a new product offering in-restaurant dining deals, with Sydney as the first city globally to pilot the initiative.
The new feature gives customers access to exclusive in-person offers at hundreds of local restaurants via the Uber Eats app.
To mark the launch, Uber Eats will host the House of Eats — a free, one-night-only dining event on 8 August.
The pop-up, curated by chef Danielle Alvarez, will feature a four-course menu showcasing dishes from participating restaurants, including Catalina, Fabbrica, and Mary’s. Wine pairings will be provided by local wine retailer and bar, P&V.
The event is produced by History Will Be Kind, with brand experience by Yakusan, creative by Hello Agency, and paid media handled by EssenceMediacom.
Menu highlights include Mary’s fried chicken with caviar, Fabbrica’s cacio e pepe with bottarga, Catalina’s pan-fried snapper with a herb salad, and Alvarez’s take on pavlova with sorrel sorbet and yogurt mousse.

Peta Fitzgerald, Uber Director of Communications, said: “Uber Eats is famous for bringing local restaurant food into Aussie homes and now we’re flipping that script with the launch of Dine Out to help drive more diners through the doors of the restaurants they love.
“Sydney has some of the best dining in the world so we’re incredibly privileged to launch the pilot Down Under with the help of Danielle Alvarez and our talented restaurant partners. House of Eats is all about shining a light on Sydney’s incredible food culture.”
HWBK Managing Director, Edwina Brook, added: “Shifting the focus for Uber Eats from delivery to dining out has been a delicious challenge. The House of Eats is a tribute to Sydney’s rich dining fabric – we wanted to harness what makes eating out in our city special to earn attention and drive social talkability as a world first for the brand.
“It was a no-brainer to team up with Danielle Alvarez to create a concept that’s playful, a menu that’s full of flavour and to keep Uber Eat’s restaurant partners front and centre.”
