Amplify launches Amplify Live to take digital creators beyond the feed

Amplify Live will feature a line-up of comedy, lifestyle and food creators.

Creator agency Amplify has unveiled Amplify Live, a one-night-only variety show designed to help digital-first talent step into real-world performance and expand beyond social platforms.

The live showcase has been developed in partnership with entertainment specialists More Talent and aims to give creators practical stage experience across comedy, music, food and sketch.

From online audience to live stage

Amplify Live will feature a line-up of comedy, lifestyle and food creators performing original live segments, ranging from stand-up and sketch to live cooking and music.

The initiative forms part of Amplify’s broader strategy to develop creators into cross-platform entertainers, IP owners and long-term cultural voices.

Amplify co-founder Tom Maynard said the event responds to growing expectations placed on creators to perform across multiple mediums.

“Some of our creators have a genuine passion for live performance, and we wanted to give them the space and support to explore that,” he said.

“At the same time, creators today are expected to stretch across platforms — from digital to broadcast to live — but they’re rarely given the tools or time to grow into that. Amplify Live is about changing that.”

The event will be hosted by online personality and national touring comedian Alright Hey, with a ticketed afterparty featuring Peyton Cole, creator and Mad TV sketch performer, on the decks.

The creator line-up includes:

Ella Watkins

Ella Watkins, Screen Australia-backed writer and actor debuting a song from her upcoming album

Ali Chebbani (Chebbo’s Burgers), Sydney chef and food creator

Tom Smallwood, food creator and author of Tom’s Diner

Lachy McIntyre, comedy creator and podcast host

Molly Clancy, comedy and lifestyle creator

Georgia Productions, digital creator with more than 2 million YouTube subscribers and co-host of the Gee Thanks podcast

Molly McCrann (Moldoga), performance comedy creator known for offbeat sketches

Andrew Taylor, founder of More Talent, said the live circuit remains an important proving ground.

“We’ve seen huge names come through the live circuit and you can tell when someone has that spark. What’s exciting now is that creators have built huge audiences online and shows like Amplify Live give them a proper stage to grow into performers.”
