Cadbury and MCoBeauty blur the line between beauty and chocolate in Woolworths exclusive

Two brands. Two aisles. One collaboration absolutely nobody had on their 2026 bingo card.

If you grew up smearing strawberry-scented Lip Smackers on your lips and wondering why chocolate couldn't double as makeup, this one's for your inner eight-year-old.

Cadbury Dairy Milk and MCoBeauty have turned that childhood logic into a limited-edition retail collaboration, swapping lipstick for chocolate and chocolate for cosmetics in an exclusive launch at Woolworths. The crossover sees each brand step into the other's world in a play designed to spark curiosity, social conversation and, ultimately, sales.

A sweet swap

At the centre of the collaboration is a creative exchange between two of Australia's biggest consumer brands.

Cadbury has launched a Watermelon Chocolate Block inspired by MCoBeauty's cult Watermelon Glow range, while MCoBeauty has created a collection of Cadbury-inspired beauty products complete with chocolate-inspired shades, flavours and packaging.

The limited-edition range includes:

  • Cadbury Dairy Milk x MCoBeauty Watermelon Chocolate Block
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk x MCoBeauty Gift Box
  • MCoBeauty x Cadbury Eyeshadow Palette
  • MCoBeauty x Cadbury Dairy Milk Lip Peptide Treatment
  • MCoBeauty x Cadbury ICONS Collection.

Lucy Robinson, Head of Marketing at MCoBeauty, said the partnership reflects the brand's approach to making beauty more playful and accessible.

"We've always believed beauty should be fun, accessible and a little unexpected. So when the opportunity came to bring the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk experience into beauty, it was an easy yes. As the number one makeup brand in Woolworths, MCoBeauty has changed the way consumers shop for beauty and cemented the grocery aisle as a go-to destination. As such, we are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our consumers and disrupt conventional beauty ideas. Our limited-edition exclusive collection perfectly captures this and allows both brands to tap into each other's worlds and create a cultural conversation at scale."

More than a novelty

While the collaboration is playful on the surface, it's also a strategic retail play, with both brands looking to capture younger consumers who increasingly engage with brands through cultural moments rather than traditional campaigns.

Katrina Watson, ANZ Director, Chocolate & Meals at Mondelēz International, said:

"We're always looking for fresh and creative ways to connect with Australians and particularly younger consumers who we know engage with brands on their own terms. Our latest Cadbury collaboration with MCoBeauty is designed to spark conversation, fuel discovery and create new ways for consumers to engage with the brands they love. We're proud to have created something joyful and disruptive together, and we can't wait to see how consumers respond."

The collection lands exclusively at Woolworths from 5 August for a limited time.

The watermelon-flavoured chocolate block will also be made locally at Cadbury's Claremont factory in Tasmania using Australian milk and Queensland sugar.
