'You've been served': Kyle Sandilands handed subpoena live on-air

Kyle Sandilands has once again been pulled into the increasingly bitter legal battle between his former employer ARN and his former co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, with the radio network subpoenaing the shock jock for documents as it fights Henderson’s $82 million claim.

In an awkward twist for the former KIIS FM breakfast partners, Sandilands was served live on his subscription show, Kyle Sandilands Live, as his manager, Bruno Bouchet, handed him the documents while the program was underway.

Sandilands appeared caught off guard as Bouchet presented him with the paperwork.

“What’s this? What is this?” Sandilands asked.

“They were trying to get to you last night, but they could only get to me, so they asked me to pass it on to you. It’s a subpoena for the trial,” Bouchet said.

“Oh no, against Jackie? Yeah. I’m very uncomfortable about that,” Sandilands replied.

Bouchet then told him the subpoena also included a notice to produce documents.

“And it’s also a notice to produce documents; you’ll notice as well,” he said.

Sandilands promptly made his feelings about becoming involved in the dispute clear.

“I’ll just put that in the bin, just tell them I’m overseas or something. I just don’t wanna be involved with that thing either. I just started to feel good again.”

Sandilands pulled into ARN dispute

The subpoena brings Sandilands directly into the legal fight between ARN and Henderson, his longtime former KIIS FM breakfast co-host.

During the same on-air exchange, newsreader Brooklyn Ross asked Bouchet whether ARN was effectively seeking Sandilands’ assistance in its case against Henderson.

“Yeah,” Bouchet replied.

Sandilands said he was uncomfortable doing anything that could affect Henderson’s case.

“Well, that makes me very uncomfortable,” he said.

“I don’t feel comfortable saying anything that may affect what she’s got going on.”

The development comes a week after Sandilands spoke publicly about Henderson’s post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis, saying he had been left in tears after learning about it.

Henderson is seeking $82 million in damages from her former employer.
