Leadership transition
Foxtel CEO Hilary Perchard informed staff of the changes in an email in which he acknowledged Moore’s contributions over her six-year tenure, stating that she has agreed to remain with the company until the end of the year to facilitate a smooth transition.
“This will provide a smooth transition, ensure the team is well-supported through change and allow enough time to put the groundwork in place for the next chapter of our commitment to delivering premium entertainment and lifestyle content that our customers love,” Perchard said.
Foxtel has initiated a local and international search for Moore’s successor.
Perchard emphasised the company’s commitment to finding a candidate who shares Moore’s passion for entertainment and lifestyle content, as well as her dedication to team development and audience satisfaction.
Moore’s tenure at Foxtel
Moore joined Foxtel in 2019 as General Manager of the Lifestyle Group, where she led the relaunch and rebranding of the Lifestyle channels.
In 2023, she expanded her role to oversee all of Foxtel’s owned and operated channels, including content operations.
Most recently, she added the production of original scripted and unscripted shows to her responsibilities, working closely with other executives to continue Foxtel’s Australian content offerings.
Perchard highlighted Moore’s ability to balance creativity with strategic execution, noting that her contributions have set new benchmarks for excellence across the business.
He also praised her commitment to people and her legacy as a leader who has built and nurtured an incredible team saying: “Wendy’s commitment to people and her legacy as a leader set her apart. She has built and nurtured an incredible team, identifying talent, supporting the development of staff, and creating opportunities for growth across the business”.

Moore’s statement
Reflecting on her time at Foxtel, Moore said: “The past six years have been an incredible experience, both personally and professionally. I have loved my time at Foxtel and have been privileged to work with many talented people on many incredible productions and projects. Leaving was an incredibly difficult decision, but after six years, now is the right time in my life for a change to start a new business venture in an area that I am passionate about.
“I know the company and customers are in very safe hands with a passionate team of people who will continue to grow and push boundaries. I’m proud to be part of the Foxtel story and to have the opportunity to continue my contribution as part of Selling Houses Australia.”
Leadership changes
Moore’s departure comes amid a period of restructuring at Foxtel under the ownership of global sports streaming company DAZN.
The company has recently undergone leadership changes and staff reductions as part of its strategic realignment.
