TV ratings: Seven
It’s the final round of the AFL and Seven’s dominated the Friday TV ratings thanks to a blockbuster match which saw third v fourth to try and secure a second chance match in the first week on the finals. The metro audience watching was 645,000 and the regional and Fox Footy crowds (see below) pushed the numbers over 1m.
The game lived up to any pre-match hype as Port Adelaide came back from the dead (they managed just one goal in the first half) to sneak ahead in the dying minutes of the game.
For those not watching the football, Better Homes and Gardens screened on Seven and 7TWO with an audience of 541,000.
Nine
The Friday episode of A Current Affair slipped just below 600,000 which was down slightly week-on-week to 578,000.
Like the AFL match last night, the winner came from behind to claim the match in the second half. In the case of the NRL it was Penrith claiming a win over South Sydney with 400,000 watching on Nine and 9Gem.

The 7pm half of The Project topped the rankings for the channel with 423,000.
10 News First was on 384,000 after 5pm and The Living Room was on 329,000.
ABC
Gardening Australia was on 470,000 after returning from a mid-year break last week on 502,000.
Midsomer Murders then followed on 389,000, just 2,000 more than watching a week ago.
SBS
Secrets of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings had the best crowd with 139,000.
