The Relatables has broken into the Spotify Top 10 this week, marking a major milestone for the independently produced Australian podcast. Hosted by Jake Craig and Ottie Clarke, the show has reached number eight on Spotify’s national chart and cracked the comedy chart at number five, its highest ranking to date.
Launched in 2022 and recorded on the NSW Central Coast, the twice-weekly podcast blends humour and heartfelt commentary, offering listeners a candid take on dating, breakups, mental health, and “the awkward things men won’t usually talk about.” It has now produced nearly 300 episodes.
The show’s growing popularity is backed by strong audience metrics:
• Over 200,000 monthly listeners across platforms
• 4.9-star Apple Podcasts rating from nearly 6,000 reviews
• Almost 1 million TikTok followers and 394,000 on Instagram
“We are absolutely thrilled to see The Relatables up there in the top five,” said Craig. “When we started this podcast, we never imagined our fans, ‘The Baddies’, would help us reach this milestone.”
Clarke added: “Being real and vulnerable is resonating in a big way. Our aim is to light up your day, find a sense of belonging and support all the girls in their quest to understand the modern man.”
Described by fans as “the soundtrack to your hot girl walks,” the podcast has cultivated a loyal following known affectionately as the “Baddies.” Beyond the main feed, the team also offers exclusive content via Patreon and has recently launched a book club for its community.
The Relatables is available on Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
