Screen Australia has announced the appointment of Tanya Phegan as Narrative Content Head of Development.
“With over 25 years of experience in roles across BBC Films, Guesswork Television, Universal Pictures, DNA Films/Fox Searchlight, Easy Tiger and Porchlight Films, Phegan will lead Screen Australia’s Investment Manager team for Narrative Content Development.
It added that commencing this week, “Phegan will oversee the assessment and funding approach for scripted projects including feature films, online/direct-to-audience and pre-market television, as well as managing related Development programs and initiatives.”

Phegan said in a post on Instagram, “Screen Australia plays a vital role in nurturing Australian storytellers and I’m excited to work alongside producers, writers, directors, creators and creatives across the country.
