Veteran journalist Charles Wooley, whom most Australians would recognise from 60 Minutes, has held his first press conference since being elected as Hobart's next lord mayor.
Wooley's campaign slogan was "Hobart for Hobartians".
When asked what that meant, he said, "great question", before explaining the inspiration came from his travels in Barcelona in Spain, where he met that city's first female mayor.
"On the wall of her office she had 'Never forget for whom we run this city'," Mr Wooley said.
The British-born journalist, who previously worked for the ABC, eventually moved to the Nine Network, making a name for himself as a trusted voice on 60 Minutes.

On Instagram, Wooley thanked his supporters, alongside his dog Dusty, who is a regular on his social media.
“We’re all residents for this great city – a city I know we all love – and I want to sell the city to the world, as well as to you,” Wooley said.
“The work starts now.”
