News Corp Australia has retained its position as the nation’s top publisher in the news and information category, according to Ipsos iris February 2026 data, with performance driven by scale, engagement and continued growth in video.
The latest figures show 17.67 million Australians – or 78 per cent of the online population – visited News Corp Australia’s sites during the month, with audiences also showing strong engagement.
The result sits within a broader market in which more than 21 million Australians used a news website or app in February, underscoring the category’s overall scale.
Strong reach and engagement
Within the News category, News Corp Australia recorded an audience of 14.23 million, alongside 526 million browser page views and an engaged reach of 36 browser page views per person – up 12 per cent year-on-year.
Average time spent reached 49 minutes per person, reinforcing the depth of engagement across its portfolio.
At the total network level, users averaged 145 browser page views per person, indicating sustained frequency and repeat visitation.
Video growth continues to build
Video remained a key growth driver, with more than 83 million video views recorded across the network in February, up 14.20 per cent year-on-year.
Within the News category, video views reached 63 million, accounting for 75.8 per cent of all video consumption in the category.

news.com.au drives scale and younger audience growth
news.com.au remained a central contributor, delivering an audience of 11.88 million and 322 million browser page views in February.
Engagement also lifted, with average browser page views per person up 28.57 per cent year-on-year, alongside an average time spent of 33 minutes.
The platform also recorded growth among younger audiences, with its 18–24 audience increasing 26.4 per cent month-on-month.
Verticals reinforce category strength
Across verticals, News Corp Australia continued to deliver scale in adjacent categories.
news.com.au’s Lifestyle section ranked number one in the Lifestyle category with an audience of 4.04 million, while its Sport section led sports news with an audience of 3.82 million and a 50.68 per cent increase in engaged reach year-on-year.
Taste.com.au reached 3.99 million users and recorded 56.45 million browser page views, alongside 1.4 million video views – up 45.96 per cent year-on-year.
