Naomi Shepherd calls time on her Meta ANZ chapter after 14 years

‘I’m so proud of what we’ve built, and I’m looking forward to what’s next’

Naomi Shepherd has announced she is leaving Meta after 14 years, marking the end of one of the longest tenures among senior leaders in the region.

Shepherd most recently led Meta’s ANZ advertising business, having joined the company as an IC5 Client Partner and rising through the ranks over more than a decade.

A 14-year run

In a LinkedIn post, Shepherd said the decision reflects a natural transition after witnessing multiple phases of growth across the business.

“I’ve made the decision to leave Meta after 14 years. I’ve been here longer than most, which gives you a different perspective on a place like this. I’ve seen it grow and evolve a few times over.”

Shepherd said her time at Meta included “plenty of wins, a fair few losses, and a lot of lessons along the way.”

Focus on people and partnerships

Reflecting on her tenure, Shepherd emphasised the role of teams and industry relationships in shaping her experience.

“What I’ll take with me most is the people. The teams I’ve built and worked alongside. People who care about the work, who back each other, who say the thing that needs to be said, and who know when to have a laugh.”

She also thanked clients and partners across ANZ for their collaboration.

“The trust and the willingness to be challenged and to challenge back has been a big part of what made this role so rewarding.”

Looking ahead

Shepherd said she remains focused on leadership culture and workplace impact as she moves into her next chapter.

“I care a lot about how people show up at work. The tone you set, and the way you make people feel has always mattered to me more than anything else.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve built, and I’m looking forward to what’s next,” She concluded her message.
