GOLD104.3 has officially claimed the title of Melbourne’s top radio station, topping the overall ratings for the first time since 1992.
The station clocked a 12.1% share in Melbourne, taking over 3AW, which recorded an 11.9% overall share slipping from 12.5% in the previous survey. It marks the second consecutive decline for the Nine-owned network.
In the FM Breakfast race, Nova 100’s Jase and Lauren have extended their lead, rising to 10.8% from 10.2%.
GOLD 104.3’s Christian O’Connell also bounced back slightly, lifting from 9.7% to 10.1%, while Kyle and Jackie O saw a modest gain in Melbourne, up to 5.6% from 5.1%.

It’s a golden day in the Australian Radio Network (ARN) offices today, with GOLD104.3 taking over the title of Melbourne’s top station.
Lauren Joyce, ARN Chief Audience & Content Officer said: “To be crowned Melbourne’s number 1 station for the first time in over 30 years is an incredible achievement and testament to the team’s relentless passion, attention to detail and connection with listeners.
“The Christian O’Connell Show continues to set the benchmark for Breakfast in Melbourne, backed by standout performances across the day with David ‘Higgo’ Higgins as #1FM; and Toni Tenaglia and Steve Fitton both #1 overall in their timeslots,” she said.
3AW 11.9% (12.5%)

Breakfast: 16.6% (18.1%)
Despite losing the overall station crown, 3AW’s Breakfast with Ross and Russ holds its lead with a 17.2% share.
3AW also continues its market dominance in Mornings with Tom Elliott claiming a 13.9 share.

Jase & Lauren once again taking the title of Melbourne’s most-listened to FM Breakfast show.
