AIIMS Creator Hub has partnered with Wests Tigers players Terrell and Taylan May on their podcast Mayday, providing a custom-built set and full production support as it expands its sports content slate.

The partnership brings the brothers into the production hub behind Unscripted with Josh Mansour and MAFS Funny. Plans for Mayday include guest interviews, fan interactions and exclusive content centred on the brothers’ lives beyond rugby league.

Taking the conversation off the field

Terrell May said the podcast would give the brothers room to discuss more than their on-field performances.

“We're NRL players, but we've got a lot more to say than what happens on the field. Mayday is our chance to have real conversations with real people, no agendas or PR spin. I can't wait for people to see what we bring.”

He said having a dedicated production team was central to their plans.

“We've wanted to do this properly for a long time. Having the Creator Hub build something specifically for us, with a team that genuinely gets what we're trying to do, means we can go places most podcasts won't. That's the whole point.”

AIIMS Creator Hub executive director Pedro Cuccovillo Vitola said the brothers’ relationship with their audience underpinned the show.

“Mayday is built around who the May brothers are beyond the football field. Their genuine connection to their community has created an audience that doesn’t just follow them; they trust them.

“These are not two blokes reading questions off a card. They are going to have conversations that Australian sports fans have never heard before, with guests that reflect the world they actually move in.”

Adding to AIIMS’ sports slate

The partnership builds on AIIMS Creator Hub’s work with former NRL player Josh Mansour.

According to AIIMS, Unscripted with Josh Mansour has recorded 600,000 downloads and more than three million YouTube views since launching in May 2025. The company also reports more than 10 million Instagram views and 6.1 million TikTok views across the show’s social channels.

Unscripted won the independent Best Sport Podcast category at the 2026 Australian Audio Awards, while MAFS Funny won the independent Best New Podcast category.

The Creator Hub also recently produced and directed At Home With Kyle, a documentary series following Kyle Sandilands’ departure from Australian radio and the launch of his streaming platform.

For Cuccovillo Vitola, the investment in Mayday extends beyond providing studio space.

“The Creator Hub was built to give talent like this the production home they deserve. We have designed a set exclusively for this show; we have the team behind it, and we are completely invested in building Mayday into something genuinely significant. The NRL audience is one of the most passionate in the country. We cannot wait to give them this.”
