Knobby has been named the Official Underwear Supplier of the Australian Olympic Team under a new multi-year partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC).
The deal will see the Sunshine Coast-based underwear brand support both the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games and the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal. It marks the first time the brand has been involved with an Olympic team.
As part of the collaboration, Knobby will launch a limited-edition Green and Gold underwear and base apparel collection in January 2026, ahead of the Winter Games in February. The launch will also coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, commemorated by the AOC in 2025.
“We’re incredibly proud to be supporting our national athletes and celebrating everything the Olympic spirit represents,” said Rob Rand, Founder and CEO of Knobby. “From the Youth Olympics to Milano, this partnership reflects our shared values – creativity, courage, and individuality – and we can’t wait to show the world what we’ve got.”
Knobby already has ties to the Olympic movement, with ambassadors including Katrina Gorry (football), Kyle Chalmers (swimming), Caroline Buchanan (BMX), and Izaac Kennedy (BMX) all previous or current Olympians. The company said the deal aligns with its mission to empower Australians to move with confidence and pride.
From garage startup to global brand
Founded in 2014 by Rand, Knobby began as a subscription-based business run from his dining room table. It has since grown into a global label selling more than one million pairs annually across 19 countries. Knobby claims a new pair is sold every 36 seconds.
Knobby’s designs focus on bold storytelling and sustainability, using materials like recycled bottles and renewable wood fibres. The brand also supports social initiatives related to children’s health, women’s shelters, and environmental causes.
The AOC partnership marks Knobby’s most high-profile collaboration to date and comes amid its continued push into international markets and sporting apparel.
