OMD has appointed Ellen Griffin as President, Global Chief Operating Officer, a newly created role aimed at developing and implementing customised operating models for the agency’s global clients.
Griffin, previously OMD’s Global Chief Client Solutions Officer, will work across Omnicom Media Group (OMG) and the wider Omnicom network to support clients through business transformation and marketing-led growth.
OMD Worldwide CEO George Manas said: “Earlier this year, OMD made a bold new promise: We create what’s next.”
“With this new role, we’re delivering on that promise by building solutions that tap into Omnicom’s full advantage across media, data, CRM, commerce, content, and creativity.
“Ellen brings the vision and operational leadership to help our clients win in an increasingly complex and challenging business environment.”
She joined OMD in 2018 as Global Innovation Director before stepping into the client solutions role, where she led the evolution of OMD’s model, talent and capabilities. Griffin played a key role in designing client solutions powered by Omni, Omnicom’s marketing intelligence platform, contributing to more than US$2.5 billion in net new business.
Griffin said of her new role: “In a time of accelerated disruption, even the most seasoned marketers are challenged to keep pace. This role is about accelerating and scaling transformation—ensuring OMD delivers the expertise, tools, and operating models that give our clients a competitive edge today and resilience for tomorrow.”
Her appointment is effective immediately and she will report to Manas.
The move comes as OMD reports global recognition, including ranking as the top media agency worldwide in COMvergence’s Global and Regional Billings report with US$23.6 billion in billings, and being named Media Network of the Year at the 2025 Cannes Lions for the third time in four years.
