Stan has launched a new national brand campaign, ‘Enter the Chat’, as the streamer looks to put itself at the centre of conversations around entertainment and sport.

Developed with newly appointed creative agency Clemenger BBDO, the campaign is live across TV and BVOD, out-of-home, digital, social and audio. It also features a soundtrack from Australian punk band Private Wives.

Taking Stan beyond the screen

‘Enter the Chat’ is built around the idea that major entertainment and sporting moments continue well after viewers finish watching. Stan points to everything from season finales debated in group chats to sporting results pulled apart at the pub.

The campaign marks a broader brand push for the Nine Entertainment-owned streaming service more than a decade after Stan launched in Australia in 2015.

Amanda Laing, Nine Managing Director of Streaming & Broadcast, said: “As Australia’s only locally owned streaming service, Stan holds a unique position in the industry. In 2015 when Stan launched, it redefined how Australians consumed entertainment.

“Stan set the benchmark with a distinctive brand campaign at launch and now, more than a decade later, ‘Enter the Chat’ captures Stan’s undeniable energy, reaffirms our commitment to entertaining and engaging Australians and sparking conversations around the country.”

Building around shared moments

Michelle Chandran, Stan Marketing Director, said the campaign reflects how audience participation has become part of the viewing experience.

“Entertainment doesn’t end when the credits roll or the final whistle sounds, that is where it begins. This campaign marks an incredible milestone for Stan. For over a decade, we have brought Australians the biggest moments across entertainment and sport, building a portfolio that drives national discussion.

“Television has always been a shared experience, and today’s viewers want to participate in the moment as it unfolds. With ‘Enter the Chat’, we are celebrating that collective energy and reinforcing Stan’s position as the home of unmissable content that everyone is talking about.”

Sheryl Marjoram, Clemenger BBDO Co-CEO, said: “I can't wait for this work to be out in the wild. It's big, energetic and unignorable. Stan truly understands the Aussie need for connection, belonging and cultural participation when it comes to how we like our sport and entertainment.

“It's not just content to us, it's an ongoing conversation and 'Enter the Chat' solidifies our position on these matters.”
