The move has resulted in “a small number of roles being impacted”

ARN has addressed industry rumours surrounding the restructuring of CADA’s content team.

In a statement, an ARN spokesperson confirmed that there had been some changes to the team, saying that “Over the past 12 months, we have invested heavily to build connections with 18-29 year-olds across multiple platforms and have been encouraged by the strong level of engagement with this audience.

“To capitalise on our core strength in audio and further grow our audiences across radio, streaming and podcasts, we have decided to reshape our strategy which has resulted in a small number of roles being impacted.

“We will continue to build the CADA brand with Australia’s underserved youth audience and keep them engaged through CADA’s diverse on-air talent they’ve proven to connect with including Flex & Froomes, Kian, Yaz & Avneesha, Ziggy, B Wise, and K-Sera.”

In December last year, CADA announced that the Flex & Froomes show podcast had officially surpassed 1 million downloads six months since its launch.

The Flex & Froomes podcast has won bronze at the Australian Podcast Awards for Best New Podcast and placed in Vogue’s “10 Best Podcasts for Women by Women.”

Hosted by Lillian Ahenkan, aka Flex Mami and Lucinda Price, aka Froomes, the show covers topics such as “Why Do Men Lie About Their Shoe Size?” and “Would You Rather Be Happy Or Famous?”.

The pair also took over Sydney’s most iconic beach club, The Island, in February. The partnership, which was brokered by media agency Initiative, saw CADA listeners, Flex & Froomes fans, media and content creators gathered for an event full of conversations lead by the pair themselves – touching on topics that ranged from sunglass trend cycles, all the way to the direct relationship between culture and fashion.
