Artificial intelligence and healthcare firms dominate this year’s ranking, with Relevance AI taking the number one position. The Sydney-based platform enables businesses to build and deploy custom AI agents to automate repetitive tasks and extract insights from unstructured data.

At number two is Melbourne’s Heidi Health, which develops AI-powered medical scribe software to help clinicians automate documentation and improve patient care. Independent creative agency Howatson+Company appears at number three, marking its second consecutive year on the list and underscoring the continued strength of Australia’s marketing and communications sector.

How the list is compiled

The LinkedIn Top Startups list is based on data from over 1.2 billion global members and measures four factors: employee growth, jobseeker interest, member engagement, and the ability to attract talent from LinkedIn’s Top Companies list.

To qualify, startups must be independent, privately held, headquartered in Australia, have at least 30 full-time employees, and be five years old or younger. The methodology period spans 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
