Adobe has appointed Lucius DiPhillips as its new chief information officer, tasking him with leading the company’s global Technology Services team as it continues to scale AI-driven innovation and digital transformation.
DiPhillips officially joins Adobe today and will oversee the company’s technology foundation, supporting both internal operations and customer-facing experiences as Adobe accelerates its AI ambitions.
Driving Adobe’s next phase of digital transformation
In his new role, DiPhillips will be responsible for advancing Adobe’s enterprise technology strategy, with a focus on modernising platforms, strengthening resilience and enabling innovation at scale.
Daniel Durn, Adobe’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance, technology, security and operations, said DiPhillips brings a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership experience.
“Technology is at the heart of everything we do at Adobe,” Durn said.
“Lucius brings deep expertise in driving digital transformation and a people-first approach to leadership. His vision will be instrumental as we continue to scale and innovate in the era of AI.”
Extensive experience across global technology leaders
DiPhillips joins Adobe with more than 25 years of experience leading large-scale digital transformation across global organisations.
Most recently, he served as CIO at Airbnb, where he led a global technology team responsible for modernising core platforms, advancing AI capabilities and improving productivity and cost efficiency.
Prior to Airbnb, DiPhillips held senior leadership roles at eBay, PayPal, Bank of America and GE, working across complex and highly regulated environments.
Across these roles, he partnered closely with product, finance and business leaders to deliver significant infrastructure savings, workforce efficiency improvements and platform innovation.
Focus on AI, trust and scalable innovation
DiPhillips said Adobe’s focus on AI and trust was a key driver in taking on the role.
“Adobe’s commitment to AI-powered innovation and trust creates powerful opportunities to apply technology in meaningful, scalable ways,” he said. “I look forward to working closely with teams across the company to build upon our digital foundation and support Adobe’s next phase of growth.”
Known for building inclusive teams and fostering collaboration, DiPhillips brings a leadership style centred on operational excellence and modern enterprise architecture.
Adobe said his appointment will play a key role in supporting internal transformation while ensuring the company’s technology platforms can scale alongside its growing AI-driven product portfolio.
