SCA taps banking veteran Sylvia Wiggins for its board
Sylvia Wiggins has joined the Southern Cross Media board as an independent director, taking on the ARC Chair role later.

Southern Cross Media Group has appointed Sylvia Wiggins as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective immediately, the ASX-listed media company announced on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
Wiggins has almost 30 years' experience across infrastructure, energy and utilities, resources, defence, financial services, transport and government. She has been appointed to the Audit and Risk Committee, and will become ARC Chair from 1 September 2026, succeeding Teresa Dyson in that role.
Board reaction
Southern Cross Media Group Board Chair Teresa Dyson said: "On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Sylvia to SCA. Her deep audit, risk and financial governance expertise, and her extensive experience as audit committee chair across complex, regulated businesses, make her an excellent addition."

Following the appointment, the board comprises Dyson (Chair), Cathy O'Connor, Marina Go AM, Ryan Stokes AO, Wiggins and Rohan Lund, Managing Director and CEO.

Wiggins is a former investment banker, chief executive and executive director who began her career as a lawyer with Freehills, before holding senior finance and advisory roles at Alinta Energy Group and Greenhill & Co. She founded her own advisory business in 2014.
She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Vocus, Lochard Energy, Ausgrid, Epic Energy and ASX-listed Service Stream Limited, and is audit chair of each of those boards other than Ausgrid.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Jurisprudence from the University of New South Wales, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
