Australian Community Media (ACM) has announced a new partnership with Jane Bunn, the widely recognised 7News Melbourne meteorologist, to deliver personalised weather forecasts across its network of regional news outlets.
Bunn, who is also the founder of Jane’s Weather, will provide daily, locally targeted weather content to more than 100 regional mastheads including the Newcastle Herald, The Border Mail, and The Canberra Times. The partnership aims to deliver more meaningful weather information tailored to farming communities and regional audiences.
Best known for her decade-long tenure as the weather presenter on 7News Melbourne, Bunn brings a high public profile and meteorological credibility to the collaboration. “With Jane’s Weather, we aim to fill a gap in the market for farmers and everyday Australians who need specific, reliable weather insights,” said Bunn.
The partnership leverages Jane’s Weather’s proprietary ensemble forecasting model, which aggregates multiple data sources to offer a more reliable daily forecast. Subscribers to ACM’s services will receive exclusive access to these enhanced forecasts and can choose forecast outputs tailored to their preferences or needs.
Tony Kendall, Managing Director of ACM, said the deal “will strengthen our commitment to regional Australia by providing readers with the best weather data available.” He added that Jane Bunn’s established media reputation and scientific grounding made her a strong fit for ACM’s audience.
The partnership begins this month, with forecasts integrated across digital, print, and newsletter products throughout ACM’s regional portfolio.
