23 Digital has appointed Joshua Poole as Head of Growth and Marketing.
Poole joins the independent digital agency after seven years at StudioHawk, where he most recently served as Head of Strategic Growth.
In the new role, he will lead 23 Digital’s sales and marketing functions, including go-to-market strategy, business development, strategic partnerships and service positioning.
Poole joins from StudioHawk
At StudioHawk, Poole worked across growth strategy, enterprise business development, partnerships, service development and team leadership.
He was also named the 2024 Rising Star at the APAC Search Awards.
The appointment follows Toby Dames joining 23 Digital as General Manager in January 2026.
“Josh understands what it takes to build sustainable growth inside an agency. He brings strong commercial instincts, genuine technical credibility and the ability to connect sales, marketing, service development and client outcomes.
“Just as importantly, Josh is someone who enjoys developing people and building high-performing teams. His appointment adds further energy to a rejuvenated leadership group and supports the direction we have been establishing across 23 Digital since the beginning of the year.
“We have an experienced team, a broad digital capability and a significant opportunity ahead of us. Josh will play an important role in sharpening how we take that capability to market and ensuring our growth is built around delivering meaningful, long-term value for clients," Dames said.

Poole said 23 Digital’s 20-year history and breadth of services provided a strong foundation for its next stage of growth, with a focus on bringing its capabilities together and making them easier for clients to access.
“There is a significant opportunity to bring those strengths together, make it easier for clients to access the right combination of services and build a clear and distinctive position in the market,” he said.
Poole will work with Dames and the wider team to develop the agency’s people and partnerships, while identifying new growth opportunities for 23 Digital and its clients.
Poole will work with Dames and the agency’s departmental leaders across strategy, web development, eCommerce, search, performance media, social media and marketing automation.
