Max has announced its programming lineup for July, headlined by the exclusive global streaming debut of Sinners, the IMAX-record-setting horror film from Academy Award-nominated director Ryan Coogler.
Week 1 (July 1-6)
Sinners, the highest-grossing and best-indexing horror film ever released in IMAX, will make its global streaming debut exclusively on Max on Friday July 4.
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
Written and directed by Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler (Black Panther), Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role, joined by Oscar® nominee Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller and Delroy Lindo.
The film is produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Ryan Coogler. The executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield, and Rebecca Cho.
It has a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 97%.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes joins Max on Friday 12 July, giving audiences a chance to explore the origins of Panem’s most notorious antagonist, Coriolanus Snow. Set decades before the rise of Katniss Everdeen, the prequel charts a young Snow’s complex relationship with District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird during the 10th Hunger Games.
Based on the novel by Suzanne Collins, the film is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schafer, and Jason Schwartzman. It explores themes of power, control, and spectacle, laying the groundwork for the societal dynamics seen in the original series.
To prepare for the new release, Max will make all four original Hunger Games films available starting 5 July. This includes The Hunger Games (2012), Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014), and Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015), allowing fans and new viewers alike to revisit the full arc of rebellion and resistance in Panem.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard arrive on Max on Friday 26 July, offering back-to-back action-comedy viewing anchored by high-octane performances and sharp humour.
Directed by Patrick Hughes, The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017) stars Ryan Reynolds as a disgraced protection agent tasked with safeguarding a volatile hitman, played by Samuel L. Jackson, on a mission to testify at The Hague. The film blends fast-paced action with mismatched buddy dynamics and global stakes.
Also debuting the same day, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021) reunites Reynolds and Jackson, adding Salma Hayek to the mix as Sonia, a fearless con artist and wife of Jackson’s character. The sequel raises the chaos with a new mission involving international terrorists, Interpol agents, and reluctant alliances.

The two-part HBO documentary Tiger, chronicling the rise, fall, and comeback of golf icon Tiger Woods, lands on Max on Sunday 28 July.
Originally released in 2021, the documentary offers a detailed and nuanced portrait of Woods‘ life, drawing on extensive archival footage, never-before-seen interviews, and intimate accounts from those closest to him. It examines not only his unprecedented success on the golf course but also the personal challenges and public controversies that shaped his legacy.
Directed by Matthew Heineman and Matthew Hamachek, Tiger is based in part on the bestselling biography Tiger Woods by Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian.
