Seven News secures the top spot in Tuesday ratings, but Nine keeps the pressure high across all key viewer demographics.

The nightly news battle continues to dominate the daily broadcast numbers, with Seven and Nine trading blows for the top spot across the nation. Tuesday delivered a tight race, with Seven coming out on top.

Total People TV Ratings

In the overall overnight numbers, the major networks secured the largest audiences with their evening bulletins and early evening game shows.

Seven’s Seven News recorded a total TV national reach of 2,294,000, a total TV national audience of 1,522,000 and a BVOD audience of 193,000.

Nine’s 9News recorded a total TV national reach of 2,081,000, a total TV national audience of 1,360,000 and a BVOD audience of 223,000.

Nine’s Tipping Point Australia recorded a total TV national reach of 1,625,000, a total TV national audience of 895,000 and a BVOD audience of 143,000.

Nine’s A Current Affair recorded a total TV national reach of 1,559,000, a total TV national audience of 1,049,000 and a BVOD audience of 153,000.

Seven’s The Chase Australia recorded a total TV national reach of 1,498,000, a total TV national audience of 757,000 and a BVOD audience of 100,000.

Looking back at the previous week’s consolidated data, Seven’s Seven News retained its overall dominance. The broadcast gathered a total TV national reach of 2,274,000 and an average audience of 1,490,000.

Nine’s 9News followed closely, racking up a total TV national reach of 2,114,000 and an average audience of 1,362,000. Nine’s Tipping Point Australia also maintained a strong showing in the final numbers, achieving a reach of 1,602,000.

In prime-time entertainment, Seven’s Home And Away demonstrated immense pulling power on catch-up services. The long-running drama recorded a consolidated reach of 1,591,000, supported by a massive BVOD audience of 368,000 over the seven-day period.
