Seven’s AFL Friday Night Footy Finals topped total TV, increasing by 0% to reach a total audience of 1,081,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as The Control Room lifted 34% for 315,000. 

On Nine, The First Week of the NRL Finals increased by 15% to deliver a total TV audience of 955,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, September 15

Seven inched out the Friday night primary channel shares with 31.5% and also won the network share section with 43.3%. 7mate won the multichannels with 6.6%.

Seven’s Friday Night AFL saw the first semi-final take place with Carlton beating the Demons by 2 points ending in 73-71. 834,000 tuned in, topping the chart. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 458,000, while Better Homes and Gardens saw 396,000 as Joh, Adam and Aimee went to check out WorldSkills Australia, also known as the Tradie Olympics.

Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 485,000 as the Storm showed up the Roosters ending with 18-13. The match was 2023’s first semi-final with the Storm now only one win away from a grand final appearance while the Roosters’ season has come to an end.

On ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 294,000, as Costa toured a mini botanic garden. 

On 10, 200,000 tuned into The Project and Have You Been Paying Attention? clocked 135,000 viewers. 

The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was South American with Simon Reeve with 88,000.

The Roosters V Storm match on Fox League came in first on the chart with the Storm smashing the Roosters 18-13 at AAMI Park in Melbourne. 263,000 tuned in.

262,000 tuned in to Cartlon vs. Melbourne in the first Semi-Final on Fox Footy. The match ended with Carlton winning 73-71 at the MCG.
