Total TV Ratings, April 26

The Voice was the top entertainment program in the total TV ratings after registering 1,378,000 viewers, an increase of 25% on its overnight ratings. The episode saw six chair turns and a notable performance from bedroom singer Jas Winter performing Runnin’ by Naughty Boy featuring Beyoncé

Lego Masters was the #2 entertainment show with 1,183,000, up 31%. The episode saw the teams create a bridge that can survive two shake plates, with the decision coming down to aesthetics once they survived. 

The top program on 10 was MasterChef Australia with 800,000, up 26%. The episode saw guest judge Adriano Zumbo return to the show alongside his Polly Wanna Waffle which was the focus of the pressure test. The challenge was too much for Dulan Hapuarachchi (Fan) who was sent home after producing what he called “rat with feathers”.

Seven has kept up its hot streak with another win last night, following the broadcaster securing the #1 primary channel share (23.8%) and network share (32.8%). Once again the driving force behind this success was The Voice which finished the evening as the top non-news program with 753,000 viewers, up on last Tuesday’s 712,000. The episode saw the show’s final blind auditions as Rita Ora and Jessica Mauboy fought to fill the remaining places on their teams. The Good Doctor followed with 314,000 viewers. Earlier in the night, Home and Away had a strong audience of 510,000.

On Nine, while Lego Masters was down on last week’s 654,000 viewers with an audience of 547,000 tuning in last night, the show continues to dominate the key demographics, finishing #1 in each age grouping. The episode saw each team have 10 hours to create a build that functioned from the power of a wind machine. Afterwards, Matt Wright’s Wild Territory had 255,000 viewers as the show continues its first season.

On 10, The Project had 243,000 (6:30pm) and 377,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the rising interest rates. MasterChef Australia then followed with 451,000 viewers as Max Krapivsky (Fan) was sent home following a pressure test cooked up by MasterChef alumni Reynold Poernomo. The episode was down on last week’s 498,000 viewers.

On the ABC, People’s Republic of Mallacoota had 229,000 viewers before Tiny Oz continued its season with 177,000 viewers.

The top program on SBS was Great British Railway Journeys with 173,000 viewers.
