TV Ratings March 28, 2022: Nine #1 as MAFS final vows start with a bang

Total TV Ratings, March 21

Married at First Sight (MAFS) was the top program in the total TV ratings with 1.911m viewers, up 45%. The episode kicked off Reflection Week with the couples watching videos from their weddings or receiving challenges from other couples. 

Home and Away was the #2 entertainment program with 963,000 (up 21%) followed by Australian Survivor with 905,000 (up 42%).

SAS Australia had 733,000 viewers, up 46% on its overnight ratings.

Nine was the top primary channel (25.3%) and also the overall network (31.6%) last night as Married at First Sight (MAFS) was the #1 non-news program with 997,000 viewers, and was also #1 in all key demos. MAFS was also up on last week’s 942,000 viewers.

The episode featured the first set of final vows as Jackson and Olivia confessed their love for each other, but it was a different story for Brent and Tamara who both chose to walk away with Brent saying “You are not God’s gift to humanity so stop looking down on everyone, I don’t even know where you get the confidence to do so”.

Footy Classified had 85,000 viewers and 100% Footy had 44,000.

On Seven, Home and Away started its week with 503,000 viewers, making it Seven’s top prime time entertainment program for the night.

It was followed by SAS Australia with 329,000 which was up on last week’s 313,000. The episode saw Melissa Wu go home, as only four recruits remain heading into the final episode.

On 10, The Project had 255,000 (6:30pm) and 414,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the upcoming federal budget, and the slap heard around the world at the Academy Awards.

Australian Survivor had 451,000 viewers, down on last week’s 497,000 viewers as Mark played his second idol and Jordie went home, setting up a final five showdown.

On the ABC, Australian Story had 523,000 viewers watch part one of Trial and Tribulations which covered the story of the murder of  Stacey Thorne and the acquittal of Scott Austic after 12 years in jail. Four Corners then followed with 456,000 viewers before Media Watch had 450,000.

The top non-news show on SBS was Scottland: Escape to the Wilderness with 138,000 viewers.
