Over forty people attended the 3-day event in the Hunter Valley

Independent media agency, This is Flow, has held its first agency conference with over forty people attending the 3-day event in the Hunter Valley to celebrate and build on Flow’s momentum achieved to date.

Following the recent appointment of ex Mindshare staffer, Catherine Rushton as the agency’s new CSO, Flow has further strengthened the commercials of the business with the hire of Jeff Ewing as Director of Commercial Operations.

Prior to joining Flow, Ewing was Chief Financial Officer at Dentsu Media, and before that CFO with Spark Foundry – moving from Blue449/Match Media when the agencies merged.

Additionally, Flow has made two internal promotions. Raymond Ly has been promoted from Account Director to Talent, Culture and CX Lead, and Andrew Sarkis has been promoted from Account Director to Digital Lead.

The conference provided a platform for the agency to put all staff through brainstorming sessions, not only for collaboration and teamwork exercises, but also to ideate and build up employee driven initiatives that the agency could implement over the coming 12 months across different categories of people, clients, automation and innovation.

Assisting to bring the conference to life, Flow engaged facilitator Rob Pyne, The Hummingbirds co-founders Linda Robson and Maree McDonough, and presentations from partners L&A social and MIQ.

Jimmy Hyett, CEO of Flow said: “This was a proud moment for us – seeing the agency’s growth and success and experiencing first-hand, the incredible passion, energy and bond that every member of the Flow family has. Our people are the heroes of the agency, and they’ve inspired us by seeding some game changing initiatives, designed by the team, that makes us genuinely excited for the future.”
