Network 10 has confirmed that the upcoming season of Survivor: Australia V The World will be the last series hosted by Jonathan LaPaglia (JLP).
He has hosted Network 10’s revival of Australian Survivor since 2016. Prior to hosting the reality show, he was He’s best known for his acting work in local series including The Slap and Underbelly, as well as US series The District, New York Undercover, and Seven Days.
In a statement to Mediaweek, a 10 spokesperson said: “JLP has brought a unique blend of authority, intelligence and empathy to his role as host of Australian Survivor over the last 10 years. Acting as a referee and managing the intense pressure of the game while also acknowledging the human drama unfolding, JLP has been a compelling and memorable figure in the world of Survivor.
“We look forward to JLP hosting the next epic instalment of Survivor: Australia V World coming soon to 10. We extend our sincere gratitude to JLP for his outstanding contribution over 10 years on Survivor. We wish him continued success in his acting and presenting career.”
It is understood that 10 will make an announcement soon about a new host for the 2026 season of Australian Survivor. Former Australian Survivor champion David Genat is rumoured to replace him.

Genat is set to return to compete in the upcoming Australia V The World season, his third time on the show and has previously served as the host on travel adventure show Rush, as well as a guest host on travel show Getaway.
