Channel 9's Tipping Point Australia will air a celebrity charity edition on Wednesday, 24 June, at 7:30 pm, pitting three of Australia's most decorated athletes against the show's trademark coin-drop machine in a contest for $40,000.

NRL icon Johnathan Thurston, AFLW champion Ebony Marinoff, and Socceroos great Archie Thompson will compete in the Battle of the Codes special, with each contestant playing for their charity of choice. Tennis legend Todd Woodbridge hosts.

Three codes, one machine

The special brings together athletes from rugby league, women's Australian rules football, and football - three sports with little common ground off the field - under a single prime-time banner.

Thurston, who won four Dally M Medals during his NRL career, will be joined by Marinoff, a three-time AFLW premiership player with Adelaide Crows, and Thompson, the former Melbourne Victory striker and Australia's all-time leading international scorer at the time of his retirement.

The episode will air simultaneously on Channel 9 and streaming platform 9Now.
