Channel 7 journalist Katie Brown is reportedly set to quit her role on Sunrise, according to news.com.au.

Brown has been with Sunrise since 2023.

Her deal with the breakfast show is set to expire on December 31, and Brown wants a fresh role in 2027, reports The Daily Telegraph.

“It is understood Brown will adopt a hybrid role that allows her to focus on covering sports full-time.”

It seems that sports commentary is Brown's true passion.

Brown is currently working on Seven's coverage of the Rugby League World Cup.

She is a former player for South Sydney’s NSWRL women’s premiership side, which more than qualified her to lead the NRL’s website coverage in 2021.
