Share summary

Nine won Monday night with a primary share of 26.4% and a network share of 35.8%.

7Two has won multi-channels with a 4.1% share.

Seven received a primary share of 17.9% and a network share of 29.9%.

10 took a 9.4% primary share and a network share of 12.5%.

643,000 watched Session One, Day Two of the Australian Open (Night) while 468,000 tuned in to Session Two.  

Alex De Minaur (AUS) took on Miles Raonic (CAN) with de Minaur advancing to the second round after his opponent Raonic retired with injury. Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka (JPN) went up against Caroline Garcia (FR), narrowly losing 6-4, 7-6(2).

337,000 also saw the Pre-Match.

Seven

427,000 began their evening with Seven’s Home and Away. During the episode, Tane misread Harper’s friendship while Justin asked Marilyn for a favour.

265,000 stayed on for a spot of cricket with the Big Bash! The Stars collided with the Hurricanes at the MCG. By the end of the match, the Hurricanes took a seven-run win, knocking the Stars out of the competition.

ABC

351,000 watched ABC’s 7.30 as the program looked at how Port Moresby is in a state of emergency after violent riots rocked Papua New Guinea. The royal commission is also looking into veteran suicides and some of Tonga’s residents are still living in tents two years after a volcanic eruption.

254,000 then watched Revenge: Our Dad the Nazi Killer where three brothers in Melbourne open up a Pandora’s box when they investigate if their Holocaust survivor father took revenge against a Nazi war criminal in Australia in the 1950s.

136,000 viewers also saw a repeat of You Can’t Ask That which focused on former cult members.

On 10, viewers tuned in to The Project (234,000 7.00 pm) as the panel put the spotlight on a new Australian study that has found kids are turning to unprescribed diet pills after being inundated with TikTok videos of dieting creators. 

Then, it was time for the season premiere of Gladiators 2024! It was the first heat and four everyday Aussies battled our Gladiators in nail-biting knockout events Duel, Powerball, The Wall, the infamous Pyramid and The Eliminator, in hopes of securing a spot in the quarter-finals. 395,000 tuned in. According to 10, the series launch averaged 589,000 national viewers (metro + regional + live stream).

Over on SBS, 88,000 tuned in to see Jonathan Ross’ Myths and Legends where host Jonathan Ross explored Wales, a wild and magical country filled with hidden and intriguing legends.

Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South then followed as 104,000 tuned in.
